Kerman graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley, earning his Bachelor of Kinesiology (Exercise Science) before completing his Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of conditions, including motor vehicle accident injuries, workplace-related injuries, sports and athletic injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. He is also committed to ongoing learning and continues to develop his clinical skills and knowledge to ensure he provides up-to-date, evidence-based care. He is also fluent in English and Punjabi.
Kerman’s treatment philosophy focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of symptoms rather than solely managing them. He achieves this through a combination of hands-on manual therapy, targeted exercise (drawing on his strong background and passion for active rehabilitation), and patient education to support recovery, improve function, and reduce pain symptoms. His goal is for patients to leave each session with a better understanding of their condition.
During the assessment process, he takes the time to listen and collaborate with each patient, emphasizing a patient-centered approach that identifies functional limitations, establishes meaningful goals, and fosters education. From there, Kerman creates an individualized treatment plan for the patient targeting these areas while improving mobility and stability. He encourages open communication and is always happy to answer questions, as he believes patient education is key to empowering individuals to effectively self-manage their symptoms outside of the clinic.
Outside of physiotherapy, Kerman enjoys staying active through regular training at the gym and playing basketball with friends and family.
